V. Scala Coeli Alicante Bouschet 2017 Vinhos do Alentejo

As it is an exclusive wine with high potential for evolution, it deserves the reserve designation. It is produced from the Alicante Bouschet grape variety and aged for 15 months in new French oak barrels and 24 months in bottle.

Scala Coeli, owes its name to the Monastery of Santa Maria Scala Coeli, commonly known as the Carthusian Monastery, a place where Carthusian monks lived in silence and prayer.

The Scala Coeli brand is based on the best vinifications of each year, from less traditional Alentejo grape varieties, with the first wine appearing in 2011.
