V.T Cota 600 Vinhos do Douro
For the two winemakers at Quanta Terra, Celso Pereira and Jorge Alves, the Cota 600, which now hits the market, “is the corollary of the work” they have developed on the Alijó plateau, “the other Douro”, as they determine, since It is the first red produced in a region known for “the extraordinary whites” they present to consumers (the Cima Corgo sub-region). The red, “with a transparent texture”, to be consumed fresh (between 14 and 16 degrees), has below average alcohol and caloric content and is proof of the “exceptionality” of wines that come from high-altitude vineyards, in this case, at elevation 600, on the Alijó plateau. Tinta Roriz and Tinta Amarela in union Produced from the Tinta Roriz and Tinta Amarela grape varieties, Cota 600 aged in new 500-liter French oak barrels, with a production of 3,500 bottles
