V.t flor das tecedeiras 0,75 Vinhos do Douro
TERROIR Located in the heart of the Cima-Corgo sub-region and bathed over 1.5 km by the waters of the left bank of the Douro River, Quinta das Tecedeiras must its name to the nuns who inhabited it and dedicated themselves to weaving the linen that was once cultivated there. The soils are of schist and the exposure is north and east, with vineyards between 90m and 190m in altitude. The grapes ripen well and with a high concentration of aromas and flavors without losing their freshness. When the vineyards were reconverted, care was taken to leave some plots of old vine, whose grapes carefully integrate the lots of all DOC or Porto das Tecedeiras red wines. TEST RESULTS Bright ruby color with good intensity. Young and intense aroma of fresh red fruits. Very attractive nose. In the mouth, it is fresh and with polished tannins, giving it elegance. Persistent finish. VINIFICATION Manual harvest organized by vineyard plots to ensure the harvest at the right time. Transport in small boxes to avoid crushing of the curls. Manual sorting of curls followed by destemming and gentle crushing. Pre cold maceration. Alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel vats with smooth daily manual reassembly. Pressing. Stage in stainless steel vats on fine sludge until bottling. THE TABLE It accompanies roasted meats or barbecue, as well as cheeses and gastronomy associated with a more relaxed life, such as pasta, pizza, salads and the like.
