TERROIR In the heart of the Douro Demarcated Region, Quinta da Levandeira do Roncão, is located on the right bank of the Douro River, in parish of Vilarinho of elevations in Alijó, between elevations 500 / 600 m of altitude. It presents a very rugged relief on a slope with different slopes that vary between 5% and 45%, an acidic soil of schist origin, with a high degree of stonyness, which makes it a shallow soil and very poor in organic matter, similar to of typical Douro soil. With a southern exposure, the vineyards receive sun throughout the day, reflected in the quality of its maturation. A region benefits from a microclimate, where an extensive mountain range protects the region from the influence of the Atlantic Ocean, offering a climate continental characterized by hot, dry summers and cold, dry winters rainy. The average annual temperature is 16°C and the annual average of rain is 900 mm. TASTING NOTES Port wine produced from a single harvest , aged in casks for 16 years , until the date of traffic jam. Dense, with red and light brick tones. The aroma It is marked by the combination of notes of fruit, wood and nuts. In the mouth it is fresh, full-bodied, dense and with a long and persistent vanilla finish.
