Vale da Raposa Reserve Late 1980s. The Alves de Sousa family acquires the 18 hectares that make up Quinta do Vale da Raposa. In 1992 it was the stage for the debut in the production of DOC Douro wines with a red that immediately captivated the connoisseurs and deserved the best references. An example? Direct entry to the prestigious list of the 30 Best Purchases from around the World by the prestigious English journalist Oz Clarke. Since then Quinta do Vale da Raposa has not stopped. The appearance of the Grande Escolha in the best years has meanwhile been complemented with an acclaimed collection of monovarietals, with a very special highlight for Touriga Nacional (winner of the 1st great grape tasting in Portugal and Brazil) and Tinto Cão (only prize for excellence) in the Douro by Revista de Vinhos in 2000). It currently comprises a complete line of Douro wines (white, rosé and red) expressing the quality of the Quinta do Vale da Raposa terroir Test results Ruby color.
