Winemaking
The grapes from Vinha da Ponte were transported in boxes of 22 kg capacity and
subjected to rigorous sorting on a table of choice at the entrance to the cellar. After a complete destemming
and treads in a traditional wine press, the must was transferred to stainless steel fermentation vats with
controlled temperature. At the end of the alcoholic fermentation, a soft pressing was carried out.
Aging
Quinta do Crasto Vinha da Ponte 2016 aged in 100% new oak barrels, where it remained for about 20 months. The final batch results from the best selection of barrels.
Tasting Note
Quinta do Crasto Vinha da Ponte 2016 is a wine with a deep violet color, where we can find elegant aromas of wild fruits, well integrated with fresh notes of spice and smooth
notes of cocoa. A harmonious wine that starts the mouth tasting in perfect balance, evolving
for a wine of great volume and solid structure, where we find velvety tannins. A complex wine that finishes elegant, fresh and very persistent. A unique terroir wine,
which reflects the enormous complexity and depth of Vinha da Ponte.
