VARIETIES Native varieties traditionally used in the production of Port wine: Touriga Nacional (60%), Touriga Franca (12%), Tinta Roriz (8%) and Sousão (5%). The remaining 15% is a mixture of grape varieties from Vinhas Velhas. TESTING SUGGESTIONS It can be drunk now or aged up to 5 years. Goes well with cheeses, in general, and meat dishes. TEST RESULTS At Quinta de la Rosa we try to make harmonious, elegant wines that express the vine and grapes (terroir) in the bottle. The extreme heat of 2017 gave rise to a robust and structured La Rosa. It is a concentrated but balanced wine where no excess ripeness is felt. Intense and difficult to define aroma, with black fruit, herbs and spices. In the mouth it is rich and full but vigorous and with a lot of energy.
